MuseumsThe new 180,000 square feet, 34 million dollar Grumbacher Spartan Sports and Fitness Center provides well-designed spaces for intramural and varsity sports, three playing fields, student recreation, the Physical Education Department, wellness programs, and the academic program in Sport Mangement. The Music, Arts, and Communication Center houses a state-of-the-art television studio, audio recording and live sound production equipment, a recital hall and art galleries. The 4,000-square foot Nursing Education Center replicates state-of-the-art hospital environments and is located adjacent to the Engineering labs and classrooms. All science labs have been extensively renovated to provide students with the latest technology. Students may access the high-speed computer network directly from their on-campus rooms, from home using a modem, or in any of several computer labs. The Library, Student Union, traditional residence facilities, virtually all public areas and many classrooms are equipped with wireless network access. A new 106,000 sq. ft. Humanities and Social Science Center, featuring a state-of-the-art 700 seat theater/auditorium, five computer labs equipped with 155 public computers, wireless and hard-wired network connectivity throughout the building, 13 classrooms, oral history and film study labs and 54 faculty offices is scheduled for completion for the fall of 2007.
